What does private label include?
Private label is a fully custom lip balm built for your brand. You choose:
- Formula: Original, Vegan or Organic.
- Flavor: One of our 70+ flavors, or a custom flavor developed for you.
- Tube: Your tube color and finish.
- Label: Fully custom.
- Packaging: Singles, duos, trios, gift sleeves or boxes.
We formulate, fill and ship in-house in Idaho Falls, Idaho, backed by more than 10 years of lip care experience through Poppy & Pout.
What's the minimum order?
2,000 units for lip balm, lip tint and specialty balms. Lip scrubs and lip masks start at 5,000 units. Custom gift boxes start at 1,000.
What products can you make?
- Lip balm, lip tint and blush stick
- Lip scrub and lip mask
- Specialty balms: after-sun, wind burn, perfume and aromatherapy
How much does it cost?
Every private label project is fully custom, so pricing depends on your product, quantity, formula, flavor and packaging. Your per-unit price includes the formula, tube, label and filling, and it goes down as your order gets larger. After a short discovery call, we'll send you a quote built for your project.
How long does it take?
About 3 to 4 months from kickoff. That covers flavor and formula development, design, proofing and production.
Can you create a custom flavor?
Yes. Choose from 70+ existing flavors (fruit, dessert, tropical, mint and floral), or we can develop one for you. Many clients give us a reference, like a signature scent or a best-selling drink, and we match it. Depending on the flavor, we use natural flavor oils or essential oils.
What's in the formula?
Our Original base is beeswax, coconut oil, sunflower oil and natural flavor oil. Vegan and organic formulas are also available. All our products are cruelty free.
Our organic formula is made with organic ingredients, but we can't currently offer certified organic. If you have specific ingredient requirements, let us know and we'll review them.
Do I need finished artwork?
No. You can use our design service, or your designer can work from our template. We proof every file before it goes to print.
Can I get samples?
Yes. Digital proofs are included with every project. Physical packaging samples and custom flavor samples are also available, and we'll include them in your quote.
How do I get started?

It helps to have your brand name, product goals, flavor ideas, quantity, budget and timeline ready.
Can you provide documentation for my retailer?
Safety Data Sheets (SDS) are available, and every tube and case carries a batch number. If your retailer requires specific testing or certifications, tell us at the start. We can arrange third-party testing and include it in your quote.
How does shipping work?
Standard UPS Ground shipping within the US is included with your private label order at no extra cost. We ship from Idaho. If you need expedited shipping or a different carrier, we'll quote that separately. You're also welcome to arrange your own freight.
How do reorders work?
We keep your artwork on file. If nothing changes, you can skip the approval process. Reorders still take 3 to 4 months because we order fresh components, so plan ahead.
